Packaging

We work with carefully selected printer and frame partners. Wherever possible, we work with partners that offer plain cardboard packaging. But from time to time, for certain items, additional packaging is included to ensure that your wall art arrives safely.

Hanging your art

The frame art comes with D-rings and cord will be pre-installed on your frame. Included are the corresponding nails and instructions to help you hang your frame.

The canvas prints comes with a string for hanging, this is best used with two hooks (not supplied). If you will be hanging a number of pieces close together, we recommend you attach two small D-rings to back of the canvas frame  (high side of left and right) as this offers more precision.

Framed prints in NZ/AUS
PRINTING & PAPER Your image will be printed on a luxurious 230gm flat matte surface with sharp detail and high colour saturation. 
FRAME Frame profile: 20-22mm wide and 30mm deep. A slender white, black or natural light oak wood frame. Sustainably sourced, solid wood frame handmade locally. Note that 'raw wood' is a polished wood frame.
GLAZING Standard clear 2mm glass, works well for most applications except those exposed to sunlight in New Zealand* / UV plexiglass in Australia. ( *New Zealand buyers: if your art will be on a very sunny wall consider a glass upgrade to a suitable UV protective glass, the extra cost varies from $50 to $150NZD email info@blankwallnz with your request for a price) 
BORDERS Acid-free bevel-cut 50mm mat border in white.

            

Canvas prints in NZ/AUS
PRINTING uses a mirror wrap (the sides are a mirror of your image) so that no important parts of the image are lost around the sides.

Framed prints in UK
PRINTING & PAPER Your image will be printed on a high quality Fuji Matt paper. This is a 230gm bright white crystal archive paper. Fuji Matt has a semi-matt finish, with a light sheen / satin. The paper is high durability with an archival life of 40 years in daylight. It is coated with a slightly stippled texture giving a very natural photographic finish, giving a detailed, beautiful 3-dimensional reproduction. 
GLAZING High quality glass windows.
BORDERS White bevel-cut window mount mat. The A3, A2, A1 frames have mats that are 500mm at their widest edge, whilst the square frames have 30-35mm wide mats.

Canvas prints UK
CANVAS is a blend of cotton and polyester
STRETCHED canvases are hand-stretched over a 38mm wooden frame, with finger-jointed corners to create tension and help resist warping. Each corner is then folded tightly over each edge and fixed with staples to the frame
PRINTING is a 12-colour Giclee print process for a museum-quality finish, which has a 100+ year colour life. A mirror wrap (the sides are a mirror of your images) is used so that no important parts of the images are lost around the sides.

 

 

 

Approximate size specifications
Final overall size of framed art will differ depending upon production standards - these differ across the globe. So that for 'A2 size'

a) The framed product with print, mat and frame together is A2
b) The print alone is A2 size, thus the final product is larger than A2 size

With framed art, size may also differ by 1 to 3mm if another frame has to be used.
